Hi there,

I appreciate there are previous threads from some years ago where members explored this, but I've been unsuccessful with the leads and suggestions I read from there.

I have an EASA PPL and I'm seeking to hire a single-engine GA aircraft (preferably a Cessna 150/2 or 172) simply for recreational purposes and to build my hours.

Such type of aircraft are located at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen but when I called Istanbul Havacılık Kulübü Derneği I was advised they provide training only and no self-fly hire option. I've had offers to fly with aircraft owners in Ankara and Isparta, but these are far away from Istanbul. In the case of Isparta there is only one scheduled flight a day, down there. Thus making it a 2 day trip to go flying etc.

I would be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction, please?

Many thanks

Have you seen this old thread?

but mind you it is a bit dated now. The aeroclub must hold the keys to all marvels there :)

If you're an AOPA member, why not try contacting AOPA (Turkey)?
