Anyone any idea why alpha floor is deactivated at high mach 0.6 A320 0.53 A330?

It’s not a-prot, it’s a-floor IIRC

low speed protection still exists, the alpha floor is inhibited. Not needed above M0.6/.53 as you will be high altitude and excess thrust is limited so alpha floor is not a great reaction

You are of course correct. Just making sure you were paying attention.
Turning final thank you that was what I thought as well.

For A320 this is new development. A330 always had this condition.

What would it be good for? Super high altitude cruise at high weights at high AoA plus maybe some turbulence tolerances and long lines of passengers waiting for the last remaining loo in the very end of the high density cabin?
