And yet their crying over yield and pilot costs !
Larger aircraft, crewed by the same numbers, more punters improved yield, especially to slot limited continents. Or am I missing something?

If they offered CX pilots current CX package plus 3% they could solve their staffing problems and shut down the competition all in one go.

Airline Managers are much dumber than we give them credit for.

That's the unintended consequence of further pay concessions....a point is reached where it would be easier for our competitors to poach our pilots...

Maximize profits this year and lose a bundle next year. It's like hedging!

150/80k sign on bonus is a bit light
Some are making that in one month of overtime...

The most truth I have read on here in a long time. That would be something to watch!

Just how many pilots are HKA looking for? I doubt it would cause CX to shut up shop.

Sqwak 7700. Last year the company offered much more than current contract plus 3%, but you and the other 51% wanted more so you voted it down. Now you will get nothing. Who is dumb?

And by-the-way, how much is it costing us all if upgrades are delayed? Why are some of you so keen on seeing the airline shrink? would that be good for us?

Ipad, it wasn't about money.

The inflation adjustment on HKPA and pay was seen as adequate by most.

It was about us paying for it by reducing manning level.

I think we would all be happy now with the previous TA, minus the 3-pilots "trial".

Unfortunately it seems 49% of the members would be happy to work more for the rest of their career in exchange for a 5% raise.

Let there be a choice, then. New 92h contract for the same pay raise. Would you sign it?

Management were amused by the 3 pilot trial as there was a queue of pilots requesting to do the flights. And in the end the company decided that most of the flights didn't work for the company. i.e. was not a problem for us in the end and actually that should have been obvious.

Maybe they don’t want you! They’re smarter than you think 😎

Very unlikely judging from what we read and hear all the time. HKA seems to take all the pilots that leave Cathay, and let's face it, neither HKA nor CPA are in a position to turn willing warm bodies away.

CPA is now recruiting DFOs, who do you think that is targeting?

So you better wisen up and do it quickly or your competition will get a head start. :}
