St Davids is a city!

The smallest city in the UK, in fact.

So small, it was powerless to resist when someone robbed it of its apostrophe. :O

My father was a pilot on 517 Squadron. Initially at St Davids and then Brawdy. I was four at the time and we lived in a house that overlooked St Brides Bay.

Come the day I had to go to school. Solva was the nearest so off I went. I came back home complaining that I couldn't understand what they were talking about.

Next day I went to school at St Davids where they spoke English.

I was always under the impression that the smallest city in the UK was St Asaph......

According to the 2011 census, St Asaph has almost double St Davids' (or should that be St David's) population.

Perhaps by area then, or old age!
