I am sitting on that aircraft now. Pilot seems to think it might be lithium battery related.
Pilot initially said returning to Paris and later landing Prestwick. Everything was calm and orderly.
Crew more impressed by getting on pprune minutes after the landing than surviving.

Replacement 777 approaching Carlisle just now enroute prestwick.

Can somebody please explain the logic of having the replacement aircraft 777-300 take the passengers......... back to Paris !
