Does anyone have any recommendations for a great speaker or panel contributor on how risk is managed within aviation?

Could be pilot, engineer, academic or consultant.

It's for a cross-industry conference in London in the summer.

Can supply further details by PM, if of interest.

I do not have any connection with the web sites below or any of the contributors; however what is presented may be helpful to those seeking forward looking ideas on safety, safety management, and risk.

Thanks so much for the replies I got now from several people.

Have managed to find a fantastic speaker for the event through this very thread, which shows the power of PPRUNE :ok:

Happy for anyone else to continue to get in touch though, as I am now looking at a follow-on event for next year with a more specific focus around risk themes and cross-learning between aviation and extractive industries.

Safetypee - will work my way through those references. Many thanks for posting!

betterfromabove, any details of the venue and date of the conference?

The subject could be quite revealing; - how exactly is risk managed in aviation.
Are the risk management programmes as suggested / required by the regulator; are these types of systems feasible, practical, or even required in the modern industry?

Very nice to hear the interest in this conference.

Would certainly also be happy to hear from anyone who might be interested in a follow-up event on a more general event sharing risk management lessons between relevant sectors.
