MEL 32.07.01 A

Had an MEL the other day where the brake temperatures on the ECAM SD display were u/s.

We used the MEL graphs to determine the brake energy of the last landing and the requisite brake cooling time.

My question...how do you apply the brake cooling time that you get from the graph and table. ie assume it states 75 minutes.

Is it 75 minutes from the On time (touch down) or In time(brakes set)?

The 75 minute time limit lasts until you release brakes for taxi (out time) or for takeoff (off time).

If you have any references, I would appreciate those too.

Our MEL doesn't define when to commence the timing for brake cooling either. It just states "cooling time". So my interpretation would be to consider when the brakes are actually cooling. During taxi in the brakes are still absorbing energy. They really only stop absorbing energy and start cooling when you come to a stop. Same applies to taxi out.
