Hi, I'm interested in finding out about the best option to get a Canadian visa to work as a pilot. Does anyone know if the express entry is the best way, whether companies sponsor or offer letters of employment to people applying for a visa or if the Canadian regional programes would be the best option?
Any help appreciated!
Many thanks

Nope this will be highly unlikely , you'll either need to be a permembant resident or obtain a work permit . Too many Canadians unemployed or underemployed .

Utter nonsense.
There have never been more jobs available and advertised in Canadian aviation
as they are presently.

There are several ways you can go about being legally employed as a pilot
in Canada.

One of the first is to get your Employer to spend $1,000 on an assessment
to verify that there is in fact a shortage for your skills. Once you wait months for that to be completed, you might, get a visa.

Some employers are expert at getting foreign pilots and have a person employed to handle the paperwork which requires perfection.

A simple mistake can end the process.

The statistics show that these "assessments" properly applied for, are more often than not, very successful.

How can I start this process?

Firstly it would depend on his/her flight experience

- You think those mom n pop shops up north are going to spend money on you to get a visa ?
- I know a couple of people who went to flight school and got work permits as instructors , there was a guy I know out east who eventually flew for a regional .

This is a long process dealing with citizenship and immigration Canada , they take time and no employer in their right mind would wait for you

Now if you're that major airline that specializes in hiring foreigners that's a different story..

Currently I am in Canada and I can tell you guys is hard to get a job as a pilot if you don't have a PR is like in america you need a green card, same thing. I am try to get a sponsor here with some job as a cook as an Italian cook. As soon as I will sure to get the chance to have the PR then I will apply for the flight school! but I really suggest any one to find job in their own country because on many web site there I saw ad with more than 20 job in aviation, but you must be entitle to live and work in canada !
