Yes if your performance is marginal and you could use an additional 1% takeoff thrust you can deploy the RAT by giving a double click on the side stick red button.:ugh:

Oh..

I thought it would deploy to find out some friend on the runway (may be another RAT)..:D

Let me just tell you; this question was asked in a interview. Every time it is not a joke.

P.S. No hard feelings.

My FCOM doesn't say it can't.

If AC Busses 1 and 2 are lost over 100kts it will extend.

And fuselage flexing on rough runway can cause "Rat unlocked" message,on some types..

I also can't find anything that would suggest it can't.

Automatically - No, Manually - Yes.

For automatic operation you need an 'in flight' signal from LGCIU 1.

Jet II,

First of all thank you for providing some right direction to the post.

Automatically - No, Manually - Yes.

For automatic operation you need an 'in flight' signal from LGCIU 1.

Manually, I understand 'Yes'. But automatically it takes signals from LGCIU 1, is it written somewhere in the FCOM? Can you provide some reference?
