Hi fellas
I would like to find out if it's possible to do the FAA ATP on the DHC-6 sim during the type-rating.I just finished the written test and would like to find out.

Yes but. The sim is only level B which means there are more hoops to jump through. Why don't you ask the folks at FSI? They'd be the ones doing it.

So if i understand since the DHC-6 isa level B there's no way to do it on the simulator?

Again, it depends. Normally a level B requires you to perform some maneuvers in the aircraft but, depending on the applicant's qualifications, there can be waivers to that requirement. And it has to be done in accordance with the training center's approved program. The only -6 sim I see on the FAA list is operated by FSI. They may have more restrictive requirements than the regulations. Or they may have authorization to do stuff not normally allowed by the regs. You need to talk to the training center.
