Hi guys,
if you are TRI rated on a multicrew airplane, are you automatically SFI?

No but if you apply to the authority you can get an SFI issued with no further requirements. I don't think you can hold both for the same type and don't know why you would want to. TRI is better and easier to keep anyway.

it varies, how the license is endorsed. usually it is about, what kind of training has an ATO approved. Most of the ATOs, they do not have a SFI, but has a TRI courses approved (endorsed on their certificate).
Therefore I have seen endorsments within EASA licences like TRI(A) "FFS Only" instead of the SFI(A). Privileges are the same, but much more convinient for the ATO who does not have a SFI course approved. To remove the "FFS only" you need to undertake just the AoC on the airplane. It is usually done during the base trainings.
