Does anybody know of any decent websites where I can look for potential aircraft share schemes to join?
I know that the back pages of Pilot/Flyer magazine are pretty good places to start, but there's no better resource than the WWW. ( That's WorldWideWeb, not WeeWeasleyWelshman from the Wannabee's forum BTW!)

The PFA mag, PF has oodles of shares for sale in each edition.
You may also want to check out the website for joining instructions.

If you register a group aeroplane with them, they send you a free copy of Pooley's, too.

There should be a place where all of these are consilidated.. I reckon PPRUNE would be a good place for a for sale / for share bulletin board!

AA : I don't think PPrune is the right place for consolidating such sites. You'll end up with just another Sales/Wants site with adverts on it that appear on some but not all other sites.
Plus it is not really about Professional Aviation. I feel a bit guilty of the abuse that us Private Pilots make of the PPrune facility - we're very lucky that the Professional Pilots let us hang out here at all.

tacpot rubbish - they're lucky to have us! "they" don't "let" us hang out here - PPRUNE is succesful through the input and involvement of us all involved in aviation, IMHO. Besides, its not just this thread that has "non-professional" pilots - look at Dunnunda & Godzone (http://www.pprune.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=2&forumid=24) and the other regional forums, for example, and ATC etc.
If it generates more page views - and therefore more advertising revenue (which may not be much, but still), then its better for PPRUNE as a whole.
But I don't care that much - it was just an idle thought...

tacpot With respect, there are other catagories who lurk on the Private Flying forum, who are very relevant to the aims of PPRuNe:-
Those who only hold PPLs, but who are involved in Commercial Aviation and/or Commercial Flight Training, in other capacities, such as management, administration, engineering, etc
Those who do hold ATPLs (for the day job), but still indulge in private flying for recreation
Those who hold a PPL or are training for one, who, after a few months on PPRuNe, will have convinced themselves that they do want to become fulltime commercial pilots. :)
