I have researched the Jeppesen portal and cannot find an answer.Can anyone explain why on some Jeppesen Approach charts the MSA (Minimum Sector Altitude) part is coloured RED? Until yesterday I have never seen this before.Why is this and what does the colour imply, and can you point me to a reference or is it perhaps just an individual companys preference maybe? Thanks Peter.

Seems that the "airline series" of charts has the MSA in brown for higher visibility/quicker distinguishing.

Hey PP ,
Never seen this yet . Would it be correct to assume an airline tailored chart ? Could you specify an airport so that it could cross-referenced with another Operators Jepp ?

Hi Stone.The red MSA part in question belongs to PRA VOR (EL PRAT) but im unsure of its geographical location.The ILS is named BLT.Thanks Peter.

The MSA used to be considered for use in emergencies only. This is no longer the case, and is now based on a significant point, not necessarily a radio navigation facility. If it is based on a radio navigation aid, reception is not necessarily guaranteed to 25NM.
One wonders if the PRA VOR/DME would be received to the N & NE since there is already an issue with SLL reception in that area.

On my jeppesen enroute chart I found two airports but they are marked different ways. I mean usually we see the airport marked with light blue circle which has 6 squares around it. But there is a problem: the Naxos LGNX airport is just a circle but the Syros LGSO has a point in this circle. So what the difference between those two airports?
