Does a temporary revision to a training manual or an operation manual for an ATO requires the approval of the CAA ?

The temporary revision is in a way a revision that needs to be quickly implemented and cannot spent the lengthy process of approval at the CAA?

Does anyone can tell me where I could find the text which describe if I have to the get approval prior submitting a temporary revision or not.

thx

Any revision to the manuals needs CAA approval. However if you want to make a short term change you can contact your flight ops inspector and gain approval. It really depends on what your looking to do. Your initial description is a little thin for me to be able to answer properly.

any revision of the manual needs an approval.
I suggest you to take a look into your OM or TRM, so you will see the process of the approval of the revisions.

For what it's worth, this is the UK CAA's take on the subject.

IN-2016/039: ORA.GEN.130 Changes to Organisations (http://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplication.aspx?catid=1&pagetype=65&appid=11&mode=detail&id=7325)

Every ATO or AOC I've worked for, releases a Company Information Notice or Safety Notice and copies the CAA in. This acts as a temporary amendment once circulated to staff. It is incorporated properly, into the next NPA you submit, to become official and be approved formally. Your FOI will no doubt be in touch if he doesn't agree with your Notice. Haven't seen that happen yet, normally as people are filling in a loophole or safety issue.

As rightly said, this procedure should be in your OM Suite. AMC1 ARO.GEN.200(d)

slr737, I know this may not help, but this system hasn't changed under EASA. We did this prior to Part-OPS, under the CAA in the UK.

Best wishes,
