Any good books or websites to look at on the history of former RAF Air Stations & disused airfields?
And Aerodromes and Airports both Military & Civilian in the UK?

Try Air-Britain. They have recently updated their book, previously regarded as definitive.

Do you mean their CD:
BASES - The Encyclopedia of Airfields & Military Flying Units in Britain since 1912 (https://www.air-britain.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000003.pl?WD=airfields&PN=Bases%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d%2d36%2ehtml#SID=14)
I'm not aware of any equivalent book, nor any that covers non-military airfields.

The Airfield Research Group's Airfield Information Exchange forum has huge amounts of information about all aspects of airfields, listed county by county

Look out for a series of books called 'Action Stations'. There are several books each covering a different region of the UK eg 'Home Counties Airfields'

Look out for a series of books called 'Action Stations'. There are several books each covering a different region of the UK eg 'Home Counties Airfields' The Action Stations books were a series of 10 books originally published by PSL which have been reprinted over recent years by Crecy as Action Stations Revisited .
There is also a series of similar books entitled 'Military Airfields Of Britain' again covering a geographic part of the UK and eight volumes in total . Compiled by Ken Delve , ex-Canberra and Tornado nav. , and published by Crowood Books .

Try "Military Airfields in the British Isles 1939 -1945 (Omnibus Edition)" by Steve Willis and Barry Holliss. ISBN 0 907700 12 8. Reprinted in 1990 so may be difficult to find.
Good Luck, A. Ditor.
