Sad end to a former QF 737-400.
But oh well DHL did indeed get the parcels on the road quickly.

Interestingly, a former Virgin 737-400 (VH-VGE) had a very similar accident last year in Accra, Ghana.

lol! ^^

The 'Tango Juliets' were all registered from the acronym 'T Jet', which TAA used as a marketing tool initially with the DC-9, and then transferred as the fleet matured. My particular favourite was Tango Two Hooks (VH-TJJ).

Actually it was first applied to the B727, the first of which was VH-TJA.

Someone should start a thread on registration derived nicknames for Australian airliners.

It always amuses me when we give kiwis grief about their accent when ours is so bad. You only have to live overseas for two or three years to realise that the Aus accent is pretty harsh.

framer, it's un ixint.

Ours might be rough, but the Saffers have the worst one tbh. I'd personally like a bit of Celtic lilt.
