Hello everybody,
I work as an ATC and I have a quick question about the racetrack ILS approach that I have attached to this message.
The outbound leg published on the chart starts after the right turn from SIB NDB on heading 087 where the aircraft also descends from 6000 to 3400 feet before the procedural turn. This means that an aircraft coming from the offset sector has to reach SIB NDB, enter the racetrack, return to SIB and only after this start its descent from 6000 to 3400 before turning final.
I was wondering if instead it's possible to descend to 3400 feet directly from SIB on an offset racetrack entry. So basically when reaching the NDB for the first time from sector 2(offset), proceeding with the teardrop/offset entry, descending to 3400 feet and turning base and final after reaching 3400.
I really appreciate any help you can provide.
