US ambassador apologizes over handcuffing of Emirati in Ohio | Daily Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3673636/US-ambassador-expresses-regret-handcuffing-Emirati.html)

So, here’s the report and the US ambassador is summoned by the UAE…and later apologizes for a ‘civil’ matter. Yet, I have never read a report where the UAE ambassador ever apologized to any western state/foreign office for the mistreatment of citizens of those countries in UAE?

One recent report comes to mind is the Australian/Canadian[?] woman who was jailed for calling out a UAE national parking on the wrong spot on her Facebook page. Did the UAE ambassador apologized?

I always love arguments where someone tries to claim moral superiority while simultaneously saying people should act as badly as the people they look down on.

There's a link within this BBC article that leads to a YouTube video of the bodycam of one of the arresting officers.

I'd say the gent deserved an apology 😕

If link doesn't work search BBC "Charges mooted in UAE robes...
