Hi guys and Gals,

Off to visit family for the first time in Canada l8r this year. Being a poor student, the flying over there is very cheap and would like to do some hr building over there. Does any one know what is required to gain a temporary Canadian PPL for the duration of my stay (assuming it is like the US system)?

What do I need to do???

Thanx in advance, Tri

Hi Trislander

The Canadian conversion is dead easy - you can write off in advance to Transport Canada (www.tc.gc.ca) , and they will send you through a Foreign Licence Validation certificate.

Then that's it - you can fly C reg planes with no further hassle (though of course any club will want to do a checkout).

Don't know where you're headed, but I recommed Canadian flight Academy, based in Oshawa, about 40 miles east of Toronto.

Have a great trip.
