Does anyone know if KLM uk are still using the F50, if so for how much longer - and are they going to replace it in the near future???

If it is going, what are new pilot's being recruited on to??

F50 still seems to be on the long term agenda.

Next recruitment will be Cabair cadets, then those in the pool (if they havn't already drowned or swum elsewhere), then new recruitment if needed, sometime in the autumn.

Aircraft will probably be Dutch registered by then, so a JAA licence will be required.

Will need a JAA licence?? I am in the holding pool and my licence is very much UK CAA, so what will this mean??

The CAA's policy is that UK airlines can only use G reg aircraft, except in certain circumstances. I am not aware that they are considering changing this policy. I therefore think that it is unlikely that they will be operating PH reg aircraft as a matter of routine.

Oh yes they certainly will.

All the 'Blue' fleet are to be operated on a Dutch AOC from this November. JAA licences WILL be a requirement.

The only aircraft remaining on the Air UK AOC are the 'yellow' Bae146 fleet, and the 2 737's.
