Guarulhos airport in São Paulo has reopened following a six hour closure.
Due to heavy rains in the region an electrical substation flooded and the runway lighting was turned off as a precaution, shortly after midnight local time. Obviously without runway lighting the airport had to be closed and flights diverted to other airports or in some cases cancelled.

Just to add to the fun and games there is now a protest blocking the motorway access to the airport.
