The guidance system was trialed successfully years ago - a large aircraft flew, with the Global Hawk system, unmanned from USA to Australia back in early 2001 as I recall.

Interesting - I wonder if the Germans will let them overfly the FRG, considering that their own EuroHawks have been grounded.:E
