TAF confuses g**gle [Archive]

Just checked the TAF's. G**gle says "This page is in Malay. Do you want G**gle to translate?"

Confuses me sometimes. :-)

I think it might be to do with dates and times. I had Google suggest my crew brief was in some European language. When I looked at the translation the only thing that had changed was the date/time format.

Having just returned and looking at the possibility of flying down to see D.O. for a blether and a cup of tea , I think this is the only TAF we need to know

I spent 2 1/2 years based in Shetland. It had it's blowey moments. More than once I had a 100kt wind at 1000'. Never mind the x-winds components at ground level...

I remember Mad Jock's description of a breezy day in Shetland. "Sheep were being blown over the runway and pinned against the fence."
