Pilot job in UK for none EU nationals?

Are there any non EU national pilots working in the UK? If so how did you go about finding a job there. Almost every UK pilot job search I look at says "You have to have the right to live and work in the UK".

If you don't have the right of residence and work in the UK then I think you will find that you cannot be legally employed as a UK based pilot, flying a British registered aircraft. I also believe that the penalty for an employer that did break this law is very considerable and may include the loss of that company's right to operate aircraft.

That statement also indicates that the prospective employer will not 'sponser' you or assist with work/resident permits.
