"The co-pilot sounded like he was panting, that's how he normally talks. The mic was too close to his lips so when he breathed or talked, it sounded like moaning,"

Gotta love the airline's denial about the divorced flight attendant offer:

A passenger named Lambertus Maengkom reported feeling uncomfortable when, as local media reported, he heard the pilot offer a widowed stewardess to passengers over the speakers.

Passengers also reported hearing moaning from the speakers as the airplane took off from Denpasar.

"Nobody offered a widowed woman. The stewardess is single," [Lion Air general director] Edward said as quoted by newsportal kompas.com on Wednesday.

Sometimes, in-house ribaldry can be misinterpreted when made public.

No doubt the crew have good CRM and 'relationships' with the cabin crew, but, in this case, it would have been better if kept away from the passengers.

There are always people who 'take offence' on behalf of those who aren't offended.

Well, on Saturday passengers from another Lion Air flight almost rioted after a long delay allegedly caused by gross overbooking.

After several hours delay, the angry passengers then tried to storm a second Lion Air aircraft -- which had just finished boarding -- headed to the same destination (Jakarta to Makassar).

Some threats were allegedly uttered, and during the commotion passengers on that second flight went into panic, causing some to escape via the emergency exit to the tarmac.
