Would anyone know why the QRT(quick reference tables) have been removed from the performance chapter of A320 FCOM? Without these QRT tables, how would you calculate take-off speeds for runways that doesn't have performance charts published?

What is a QRT table, could you post a picture perhaps? Anyways, where I come from the operator is responsible for calculation tkof performance, which cannot be done without runway specific RTOW charts, or equivalent.

Regards, FD.

FD,

"INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION

Applicable to: ALL
These tables enable the crew to quickly determine the takeoff performance at an airport for which no
takeoff chart has been established. They are conservative."

This is how the introduction looks like and the chapter is also mentioned.

What about obstacles?

CMpilot1: No such table in my FCOM or QRH. But I do remember seeing something like that. I always wondered what use it is for. Certainly not good enough to calculate TO performance. Maybe that is why it got removed.

cheers, FD.

That chapter had a section for obstacles as well. Even that is removed!

FD,

In my previous airline, we used to make use of these tables while doing intersection take-offs where RTOW charts were not published or readily available.

Here is excerpt from "FCOM last changes" letter:

Main FCOM/QRH/FCTM changes introduced from January 2015 – A318/A319/A320/A321:
The main FCOM/QRH/FCTM changes described in this document will be available in the Operator FCOM/QRH/FCTM manuals, according to the Operator’s revision cycle

1. PERFORMANCES TABLES
1.1 EFFECT ON THE MANUALS

• FCOM PER-TOF-TOD-40 to 50
• FCOM PER-CLB-CLT
• FCOM PER-CRZ-ECI
• FCOM PER-CRZ-ALT-10

• FCOM PER-OEI-ALT-10
• FCOM PER-OEI-CRT
• FCOM PER-OEI-ICQ-10
• FCOM PER-OEI-DES-15
1.2 SUMMARY OF THE MODIFICATION
Some performance tables have been removed from the FCOM for one of the following reasons:
- They were redundant with the QRH tables
- They were provided for many different temperatures and speeds, thus adding complexity to the manuals
- They had been designed at a time when computer based calculations were not available or not common, and are now obsolete
