With the advent of EFBs and publishing manuals in XML to be viewed digitally what approach to regulations and companies have around the globe to the old List of Effective Pages in OPS manuals?

Is it still required or done, or is it an anachronism from the paper age?

I suppose it depends on how the document is amended. A series of .PDFs could have an effective date for the whole of each document, and a master list issued (monthly or whatever) that specifies what each document's effective date should be. An amendment to a document would be to download the whole document each time.
