Was told by someone who went there for a parachute jump and saw the incident that the pilot had only just qualified.

Rumours are that it was solo student in a Cessna 150/152/172. It came down in a field just off of runway 24 at Hinton. The air ambulance attended and that sadly it would appear that the student pilot was dead at the scene.
