Happens all the time, but not always caught on video like this. The flames off of the gear were particularly interesting.

What happened next? Curious to know if a strike while on the ground warrants an inspection or ?

Any lightning strike warrants an inspection. Looking for enty and exit holes/damage.

So lightning doesn't always hit the highest point! Is it a composite fin? Has it 'connected' to the rear pressure bulkhead?
