Hi

I just wondered if anyone had any info on the crash at Marlborough Aero Club in Omaka, NZ last Friday (14th August)?

Apparently it involved a tailwheel C172, which was written off in the crash. I understand this is the second tailwheel 172 they've totalled in as many months! What's going on there?!?!

More details on events surrounding this, and the other crash, would be interesting to hear.

Thanks.

I've seen nothing in the media and I follow them on facebook. Saw they recently obtained ZK-BSU. Did some flying in OMK at the start of the year awesome plane. They do fly into "proper" strips so more room for mishaps

I would suggest that maybe they're trying to keep it quiet! OMK was the one written off a month or two ago. BSU was the one involved in Friday's misadventure. Unfortunately I think that will be it now for the strip flying, which is a great shame as it was a lot of fun.
