Hi after 7 years of mixing the two passions that make me tick (farming and flying) and numerous conversations with airline pilots who have the "right stuff" and realising i am not one of them i have decided to leave my job farming and pursue the ag flying industry. Now heres the catch i have no idea how to approach it. I have worked on all types of farms working with trucks ,fertilisers, sprays and equiptment but not knowing who to call or how it works is proving difficult for a start. I thought i would see if i could get some insight into what to do next.

I have approx 700 hr experience with all but the ag endorsment.

If any one has any advice i would like to thank you and look forward to comunicating to you.

Cheers max

A mate in Oz is an ag pilot. He's had quite a journey to get to where he is now. He does contract work in Canada and then flies back to Oz for their season.

I can't remember every thing he did, first thing I reckon would be to get a tail wheel endorsement and I gather you have the CPL?

I'd do a google search of aerial applicator companies and contact them.
It's a demanding job and you may feel you have to go back to the drawing board which may annoy you, but it appears to be the way in.

This organisation may have some answers. Aerialag (http://www.aerialag.com.au/)
