One of the small lugs used to bolt the exhaust together broke off. Where should I take this to get it fixed? Is it a specialised job or can the blacksmith do it ?

We had our permit O200 exhaust successfully welded by an agricultural engineer. If you were EASA, I think you'll need a CAA certificated welder. But you're N.

TIG or gas weld, by anybody competent. After reassembly the A&P mechanic logbook entry should note that the weld repair was performed, in effect by the A&P himself because he supervised the work. He may wish to make reference to FAA AC 41.13 as approved data.

If you are quick there are welders far more competent and qualified than CAA approved types working at your local gas plant during a shutdown. Have a word with Mick the southern sparky who will be drinking in your local pub. He'll have the lads sort it I'm certain.

Ramsays would have been my primary suggestion had the shutdown at the gas plant not been under way but I'm sure the lads at Ramsays will sort it.

Xiom on the Forfar industrial estate could also sort for you I'm sure.

Just had mine patched up at a small repairers on Liverpools dock road.
