Is anybody aware of an (English-speaking) ATO in France that do training for EASA mountain rating (for now wheels, but also ski)? I found a list of aeroclubs (http://www.afpm.fr/pratiquer/aeroclubs.htm) that engage in mountain flying, but would appreciate a recommendation.

Thanks,

Michael

P.s.: I'm prefer doing it in France over Switzerland, as there's only a single altiport / altisurface in Switzerland for landing wheels (Croix-de-Coeur), so most of the training has to be done on French altiports anyways. Additionally, cost-wise Switzerland -> $$$$, France -> $$.

I like Megève (LFHM). They have a well-maintained fleet of D140 Mousquetaires and a decent restaurant. :ok:

PM if you need contact info.

Most of the instructors speak English, but you'll soon pick up whatever French you need. Hey, even some Canadians manage to speak French after a fashion, so it can't be that hard...

Peter.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the info. PM sent. :)

BTW, does the Aeroclub have a webpage? I wasn't able to find one so far.

Thanks,

Michael
