A320 Center Tank Pumps

In the maintenance manual, it states that during engine start the center tank pump will operate for two minutes to scavenge any water in the tank before takeoff. My question is two folds.

1 - Where is this water going?

2 - Does the new A320 equipped with jet pumps run for two minute as well during engine start?

1) Fuel caught by jet scavenage pumps, including water, is moved to inlet area of related center tank elec. pump inlet. Yes, finally water ends in engine(mixed/diluted with fuel).

2) With no real experience and documentation for center tank transfer system on 318/319/320 I expect for this new configuration same logic like on 321, transfer system working only with apropriate volume empty in wing tank (underfull sensor dry). It means fuel can't be moved to full wing tank after engine start. Btw. for transfer system, scavenage fuel from center is directed to main tanks.
