In a hold @ 9,000, A/P on (so level...), twice in a turn at the same position, ATC indicated 300' alt alert. Any ideas as to why this would happen? Some kind of static port issue?

Maybe you already had a 200 feet mis-readout, and your A/P couldn't hold the altitude in the turn, changing the number a bit, then showing 300 to ATC?
Like above, we don't have much to go on...
