Hello,
Quick question on the first call to the destination radar service, i.e. when speaking to London on the way back into Gatwick, you advise which STAR you are expecting. Q1: Do STARS serve multiple airports? Q2: If so, are we supposed to tell them which airport we're going to?

I can't answer your question fully, but ATC are (usually) aware of your destination well in advance of you talking to them.

I wasn't aware that we did report the STAR on any contact during an arrival. We report the SID on first contact on a departure.
As far as I know STAR's are airport specific, but someone will probably know somewhere different.

Some of the London airports are paired for STARs - Luton and Stansted both use LOREL and ABBOT arrivals, and City and Biggin both use the SPEAR and ALKIN arrivals I believe.

ATC seem to prefer it as it cuts down on the RT, particularly in London TMA.
