Hi all,

Just checking the EC965/2012 it seems to me that the validity of the OPC check is 6 calendar month (only) contrary to the previous rule of 6 calendar month plus the remainder of the month of issue.

Can any of you please confirm this or I'm missing something?

Thanks

ORO.FC.230(b)(3) states:

The validity period of the operator proficiency check shall be six calendar months [...]

AMC1 ORO.FC.230(b)(4) states:

When the operator proficiency check, line check or emergency and safety equipment check are undertaken within the final 3 calendar months of validity of a previous check, the period of validity of the subsequent check should be counted from the expiry date of the previous check.

so the previous "in addition to the remainder of the month of issue" is gone?

In addition, ORO.FC.230(g) states:

"The validity periods mentioned in (b)(3), (c) and (d) shall be counted from the end of the month when the check was taken"
