Heading to Cancun for the first time for New Years Eve party it sounds like! Any recommendations regarding the handler to choose? Any places better to stay than others.....area? ....and anything other than normal security issues?
Grazias hombres/mujeres (on-line beginning Spanish course for a couple weeks!) lol

Don't know about handling, etc, but head south out of town to Akumal and find somewhere to stay.

Rent a car and drive around. Very nice with friendly people and a safe place too.But like everywhere respect the locals always!

As to engage with local girls I think the smart way is to stick with the foreigners at bars ,clubs and beaches ,because you don't speak the language, unless you have long stay to learn.

Enjoy!

Thanks! Not really interested in local girls actually. Heard the song about "come a little bit closer" since teen-age years and it put me off Mexican women in bars! ;-)

Did a short contract out of Cancun a few years back - local populace among the most surly and sour faced ever encountered.Hotel staff and our handling company staff with one exception the same.

I had never seen this video before. I am not a big fan of music videos nowadays. But no song or video will put me off girls. But in your case, why Mexican women?

Just google Cancun Airport Ground Handling and you'll get their contact details. Get in touch with them an seal the deal. My last time in Cancun was almost 8 years ago. But I remember they were nice and helpful. Cancun is a great place to party and have tons of fun. But if you want to know about the Maya culture, I'd recommend you to go to Chichen Itza. It's an awesome place.
