In a previous company I recall being advised that when flying a Precision Approach the maximum ROD was 1200fpm & for a Non-Precision Approach it was 1700fpm....

I have searched PANS-Ops & other various docs but cannot find reference to this anywhere.....does anyone have knowledge of this & if so where can I find it or was it a company procedure only?

Thanks

Company only.

ROD depends on aircraft type, configuration, approach path slope, wind component to name a few... Never seen a maximum in documentation due variation of the above.

A typical (company) imposed set of limits:

3000fpm within 3000' of MSA

1000fpm below 1000' AGL

I doubt it, or you are in dire trouble at 1500' on an ILS............... (assuming, of course, you mean height'?):D
