also discussed here : http://www.pprune.org/biz-jets-ag-flying-ga-etc/549711-private-jet-crashed-moscow-airport-vnukovo-4-killed.html

a 23 year old trainee under OJT fresh from the academy is the only one arrested and facing 7 years jail for the accident.

Open link in Google Chrome and right click, select 'translate into English' and then expect not grammar correct!

The second paragraph literally becomes:

Earlier, 23-year-old Svetlana Krivsun was sent under house arrest until December 21, as head of flights airport "Vnukovo" Roman Dounaev. In addition, in jail for two months were sent a snowplow driver Vladimir Martynenko, lead engineer aerodrome service "Vnukovo" Vladimir Ledenev and manager Alexander Kruglov, who works under the supervision Krivsun.

I think based on that it's a little unfair to say:

a 23 year old trainee under OJT fresh from the academy is the only one arrested and facing 7 years jail for the accident.

I'm not denying that the process appears to be far from over.

She was the only one arrested and charged at the time , now there were 4 more arrested and charged today I have learnt .The technical investigation has just started and so far there is absolutely nothing conclusive against the controllers, and certainly not the trainee who was just starting on the job...
Sad story.

If she was undergoing OJT, what happened to her instructor?

He is now charged as well . Intially she was the only one , hence my original post.
For a prosecutor , and even a judge, if you are a trainee or not makes no difference, we saw this in the Delta case in Amsterdam some years ago.
