Task 3 A Certificates and Documents point 4 require the applicant to exhibit instructional knowledge of helicopter handbooks and manuals, anyone have any idea what are those handbook and manuals?

I don't think it's referring to the flight manual (or POH however you wanna call it) because that's covered in task 2 I Regulations and Publications point 5.

FAA-S-8083-21A Helicopter Flying Handbook.

The FAA tell you how they want everything flown.

Problem is that FAA DPEs are a complete law unto themselves with no common application of standards at all even within FSDO regions.

I thought about the helicopter flying handbook, but I had no way to confirm or deny my theory so I just asked to get a second opinion because in the PTS there is no suggestion on what the topic is talking about and how deep the knowledge should go on each subject.

And also because every CFI I asked had no idea about it. which made me think, how did they studied and then passed the check ride?

Anyway, thanks BigGrecian.
