Only in a Motivational Speaker capacity.

...or to ask EGHQ in person to stop taking all his pilots.

... or to give them help on how to screw us even more.:E

May I ask... who is MOL?

Maybe he wants his pilots back? Or perhaps negotiating a no-poach?

hardly... Most of the RYR guys are going down the road now, and a lot of the 3 year f/o's with expiring bonds and 5 more years to wait for a 777 command are looking at leaving to go back to LHS in Ryanair.

That makes a no-poach interesting for both sides, I guess.

Dont make me laugh ! seriously guys, a non-poaching agreement ! yeah right

and besides most of the people in RYR are "service providers",
and don't even work for Ryanair, so please explain how any
no poaching agreement would even work!

RYR has invested nothing in the training of these aviation professionals,
and any attempt to try and somehow trap these pilots in RYR, can only be seen as an act of desperation.

RYR, cap in hand, something must have been said (in jest)
remarking on the RYR exodus, and EK's role in the affair.
of that there is no doubt.

(I hear EK are recruiting heavily again, the timing sure is interesting....)

my humble opinion of course.

Newquay is nice this time of year.....

Or Sir Tim retiring in November and EK looking for his successor?

Stealy got a tiny boner when he heard from MOL that its possible to charge pilots for water and recurrent training

I can picture it now, its just like the day Rolf Harris met Jimmy Saville for the first time and started swapping notes.

Maybe MOL is searching for older, well maintained 777s to buy for a proposed Transatlantic LCC operation? ;)

Isn't EK turning into the worlds largest LCC already?

Maybe they are just formalizing the industry cancer that is the Ryan to EK career progression. I'm sure Ryan could hire more suckers willing to eat it for a few years if there was a guaranteed job at EK where the light at the end of the tunnel is a gold plated, diamond encrusted train.

at this rate, it will be EK to Ryan transition, not the traditional Ryan to EK.

Are there really ek guys going back to ryan or is it just a usual rumour?

I know of at least 7 in the last 3 months, it's not a rumour. One or two off to jet poo and quite a few to Turkish.

Might have gone a little off the topic here as usual. Anyone know why the hell was MOL at EK HQ anyway? Heard the theories of no poaching agreement, taking old kit for long haul or even he may be offered a very senior position.
Was he here as a HR consultant?
Thoughts and possible facts please.

I know of one gone to LCC world, 50% pay cut, living in a caravan, buying own crew food, etc etc. Guys are making the move in that direction but maybe that's nothing new around here?

If they were Captains at Ryanair, and are going back to the LHS on their old contract, I can maybe see that as being not the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Anyone else should be very wary of believing that Mick has suddenly had his Road to Damascus moment.

Complete Speculation Alert! With Norwegian's success on the transatlantic service in terms of very high load factors (despite the political challenges) and EK looking to eventually replace a lot of older, but well cared-for, airframes with newer 777s and A380s, I still think a shopping trip for MOL makes sense. EK will be getting a flood of new airplanes in the coming years and the older airframes have to go somewhere. Just a theory but who knows...

Gents…

I'm afraid its all about horses. MOL apparently is quite fond of horses and you can figure out the connection. That's what I heard. Nothing to do with operations etc.
