No, but this C150 crash on Kinder Scout in 1983 was an aeroplane I had flown frequently and a crew I knew well. A very unusual met situation existed that night.

There was a forced landing in 2011 by a 152 which landed at Mount Pleasant Farm nr. Buxton after what was believed to be a total engine failure during a trial flight.

The aircraft was taken to pieces and loaded onto a trailer to be returned - at night, so I was told - to Derby Airfield. I have seen photographs which were taken at the time of the aircraft's owner and his son (both clearly identifiable)carrying out the work at the farm.

It is also rumoured that this same aircraft (?G-ODAC) allegedly suffered severe oil pressure problems the previous day on a return flight to Derby.

Curiously, I have been unable to find any reference to this incident in Crash Monthly or any safety publication, almost as if it was never reported.

Meldex, that is an interesting idea.;) If Derby were to get upset and obtain the identity of the poster from PPRUNE and if it were, hypothetically, to be the manager of a rival establishment, then things could get very interesting.:hmm:

Hi,
Do you know where the photographs are, i remember seeing them, years ago.
I remember the aircraft wind was being removed on one photograph and also one showed the aircraft arriving back at Derby on a trailer.
Would love to view them again.
