Is there anywhere in London: Denham, Elstree, Wycombe... Where I can hire a microlight from a club, I can only find equity shares and I'm not ready to invest in a plane.

I want to continue to fly PA28/172 but also rent a microlight to keep costs down and my hours up!

Just to spell It out.

Microlight hire does not exist. It isn't legal. Same with any other permit aircraft. They are not certified so cannot be rented out.

Has been legal for a few years now, don't know of anywhere in the area you are interested in though, you would be better asking google.

Rules/guide for hiring explained here. http://www.bmaa.org/files/til032_2_microlight_hiring.pdf

Microlight hire in the UK is now legal (it wasn't until a few years ago). The rules are summarised in BMAA TIL32 http://www.flybyhire.co.uk/upload/BMAA%20TIL%2032%202008.pdf

However, and its a big however, very few schools/clubs actually do it because each individual aircraft has to have a dispensation from the CAA and insurance costs are very high. To be honest you'd be lucky to find one.

Also hours flown in a microlight may not count towards licence revalidation, depending on what type of licence you hold.

My mistake.

the micro must be factory built.

Perhaps you should not look at a club but rather at a dealer? IOW a commercial outfit, whereas a club is supposed to be "not for profit".
