Can anyone from or who has been to New Zealand as an Aircraft Engineer advise whether I would be able to work and sign with my EASA B1.1/B1.3 or I'd have to convert it to an NZCAA licence?

I know I can convert it, by sitting Air Leg and Human Factors modules, but I don't know if it is a legal requirement.

I'm typed on Eurcopter and Sikorsky heavy rotorcraft.

Thanks.

Helicopterfixerman - It's been awhile since you posted this. Looks like you prefer helos but here's a job announcement you might look at that says they (NZ) take EASA licenses. Maybe this is the standard in NZ.

Engineering Job: 737 Classic B1 Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer 737 Classic B1 Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Rishworth Aviation (http://www.rishworthaviation.com/Opportunity/3331/737-classic-b1-licenced-aircraft-maintenance-engineer.aspx)

I'm trying to get work in NZ too but not sure if my FAA A&P will transfer or how to transfer.

Good luck to you!

It's all on the interweb

Recognition of Foreign AME Licences (http://www.caa.govt.nz/maintenance/recog_foreign_ame.htm)

EASA should be just Air law and maybe human factors.

FAA A&P not recognised.
