UA to India?

:confused: Is it possible that UA will re-instate this service anytime in the future?

I doubt it. Although that is a lucrative route but delays are frequent at the Indian airports especially in New Delhi because of fog/smog. UA has started direct flights between ORD and Mumbair/Delhi (one of the two) using the polar routes. However, it take a while before the load factor starts making economic sense - i. e. when the route becomes profitable. I think this is the second time UA has pulled the route.

Although UA has pulled out of India a second time, they still have their marketing setup in pace and carry a signifant amount of pax who are interlined to their US bound servies departing HKG and SIN.Hence things appear to be good for another comeback.
