Does anyone know if (where) I can get an FAA tailwheel endorsement for my Private Cert in the UK?

You certainly can. When I did my biennial (a few years ago now) I did it in a PA18 - after the check I was also signed off for tailwheel.

The instructor/examiner in question was, as far as I remember, George - if I can remember his last name I'll let you know.

I can do it if you provide an airplane. Based in Yorkshire, happy to travel.

I am pretty certain that any ICAO tailwheel endorsement will cover the requirements.

You don't say if you're starting from scratch, or already have EASA tailwheel differences training completed?
If you are already a tailwheel pilot, and just need the FAA endorsement, it shouldn't be more than a few circuits with a CFI.
If you need a full course of instruction, there will be a few other options.

I have previous tailwheel experience (post April 91), and own a tailwheel a/c. No endorsement though.

I believe the head instructor at Panshangar can do this for you.
