I recently (02 April 2002) flew on a KLM Cityhopper Fokker 50 from AMS to BRE, on flight KL1755 and am certain that the reg of the aircraft was PH-LXK. I read this off the wing, fuselage and nosewheel, but cannot find a record of this aircraft anywhere. Has anyone else seen it, or could it be leased from KLM uk, for example?

Assuming that a Fokker F27 Mark 050 is the same as a FK50, then it was probably PH-JXK.

What really confuses me is that I am 100% certain that it was PH-LXK, as I recorded this whilst boarding at AMS and whilst disembarking at BRE, and saw it again from the terminal building at BRE! Some people have suggested that there was a PH-LXK, F50 which was re-registered with KLM uk. Is there anybody (from KLM, KLM uk?) who has any ideas?

Thanks!

Congratulations on believing in yourself - PHLXK is now known as GUKTF.

Right - well, at least I know that there was at one time a PH-LXK. What now confuses me is that according to the link above, the F50 in question became G-UKTF on 31/01/1995. I travelled on 'my' PH-LXK on 02 April 2002; just over a month ago. Any more ideas?

Thanks!

Data Definition (http://www.caa.co.uk/srg/aircraft_register/ginfo/faq.asp?faqid=90) - read this and then combine it with my guess that it was first registered to Air Uk (as I think it was then) , then transferred to KLM UK as PHLXK, then transferred back (very recently) to GUKTF.
Its just a theory that happens to fit the facts, so may well be totally wrong!:p

They're all on the move at the moment due to end of leases and stuff - ones that were UK registered and went on the PH- register are now coming back as restorations to previous marks, which the CAA allow you to do. Helps with record keeping if you don't change the tail# more times than you have to.
