Good to see the CAA have moved fairly quickly on getting on-line licence and ratings applications up and running -it will be interesting to see how it works in practice.

Are they doing more than just the online form for replacing a lost, stolen licence?

One has to congratulate the CAA on this front. A very postive move.

Any sign of an online verification of licence for employers like the FAA's or will continue to have to pay them for emails for each job application?

The online is no better than the forms and the CAA explicitly promise that applying online is not any quicker

You can apply for licence conversions and the like but it kinda of falls down for something more complicated. Say adding an aerobatic rating where the mandatory SRG1104 says supply original logbooks...how do I do that online.
