I got that book some time ago. It is an interesting book about helicopter ops in Viet Nam. He wrote a sequel, as an aside.

If you are enjoying VULCAN 607 then I would urge you to read STORM FRONT and PHOENIX SQUADRON. The author deserves a plug, they are fantastic reads and provide a great insight into some well less know British Military exploits.

Thank you, Terry. Finished 607 today, and yes I will chase down the others.
Arclite, I will look into that book as well.

I recommend that you read 'First Light' by Geoffrey Wellum. Mr Wellum flew Spitfires during the Battle of Britain at the age of eighteen.

Yes, you're not the first person to suggest "First Light". I should make a list.

And I won't be the last. Don't start it if you have anything planned, as you won't be able to put it down.
Even more fascinating is that Squadron Leader Wellum is still with us 73 years later;

Not just a good read, one of the best aviation books about Vietnam.
Chief, there's a rivet missing here. Of course, it probably doesn't matter much, with this bullet hole next to it.I've read it three times. Recommended. :ok:
